Job Description:

Operate vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, dry vans and end dumps.  Drivers load waste chemicals into vacuum trucks or roll-off trucks and transport the loads to disposal site at various locations.  80%of the driving will be intrastate and 20% of the driving is interstate.  Clean up chemical spills and clean chemical tanks.  Manifest hazardous and non hazardous waste for transportation.  Drivers are on-call and available to respond 24 hours a day to chemical spills and are on-call every other weekend. 

Qualifications:

California Commercial Class A Drivers license with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, Air Brake

• Endorsement and Doubles Endorsement.

• Must be able to read and speak English.

• Drivers must have and maintain an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle Report.

• Pass a pre-employment physical with a DOT drug screen.

• At least 2 years of experience driving.

• Pass a road test. 

Job Description:

Inspect and clean storm water drains. Enter and clean storm water pump houses under confined space procedures. 

Qualifications:

• OSHA 1910.120 Operational Hazmat Technician 40 Hour Training
• OSHA Operational Hazmat Technician Annual 8 Hour Refresher (Current)
• CPR & First Aid Certification (Optional)
• Must be able to read and speak English

Essential Physical Functions:

• Standing and walking is required 90% of the work shift on even and uneven surfaces.
• Lifting from 10 pounds to a maximum of 60 pounds is required 10 to 15 times per shift.
• Climbing is occasionally required 5 to 30 feet through openings 24 inch in diameter (manholes).
• Bending and stooping is required 30% of the work shift from slight to 90 degrees.
• Carrying form 10 to 60 pounds a distance of 50 feet intermittently 10 to 15 times per shift.
• Crouching and crawling is required occasionally during cleaning operations.

 Additional Requirements:

• Have transportation available to company terminal 24 hours a day and must be accessible by phone 24 hours a day.
